في 9 تموز/ يوليو 2024، تم اتخاذ خطوة مهمة نحو تعزيز تمثيل التراث الإفريقي الغني على قائمة اليونسكو للتراث العالمي. حيث وقعت إيكروم مع مؤسسة مدرسة التراث والأنشطة الثقافية (Fondazione Scuola dei beni e delle attività culturali)، في المقر الرئيسي لإيكروم، مذكرة تفاهم للتعاون في مشروع "التراث العالمي في إفريقيا: تعزيز ممارسي التراث في عمليات الترشح واستراتيجياته (WHAPS)".

في 19 حزيران/ يونيو، عقد الاجتماع الثاني لمجلس تحالف التراث الثقافي في آسيا (ACHA) في تشينغداو بالصين. وقد جمع الحدث خبراء من جميع أنحاء آسيا وخارجها لمناقشة ما يتعلق بتعزيز الحفاظ على التراث الثقافي.

These efforts lay the groundwork for a brighter future for ICCROM and the heritage conservation sector as a whole, as we are preparing for our new Strategic Framework 2026-2031.

On 21 May 2024, ICCROM Director-General Aruna Francesca Maria Gujral hosted HE Jeffrey Prescott, Ambassador of the U.S. Mission to the UN Agencies in Rome, at ICCROM headquarters.
