We are now accepting applications for the second cycle of the 9-month course, which will run from December 2022 to August 2023.
Are you interested in acquiring skills to contribute to the recovery of heritage in Mosul? If so, you are invited to apply for a field-based training course on the recovery of the city of Mosul, organized by ICCROM in collaboration with UNESCO. The capacity-building programme is implemented by ICCROM under an international partnership agreement with UNESCO and under the umbrella of UNESCO’s “Revival of the Spirit of Mosul” initiative.
The programme will be conducted in English and will include lectures and field exercises. Various modules on situation analysis, recording and documentation, damage assessment, stabilization, repairs and restoration, recovery planning, upgradation and adaptive reuse will be conducted as part of the training. The full-time training will take place at the University of Mosul from December 2022 to August 2023. Selected participants will be paid a monthly stipend to cover their daily subsistence.
Upon successful completion of the training, participants will be awarded a certificate and recommendation for employment in recovery projects carried out by UNESCO and other international organizations. Those interested may send their application to HRPMosul@iccrom.org
The call for applications is open until 23:59 (11:59 pm) on 15 November 2022.
