On Tuesday 10 May, the Director-General, Webber Ndoro was honoured to receive a delegation from Australia led by Mr James Larsen, Deputy Secretary, Department of Agriculture Water and the Environment, Ms Kristy Domitrovic, Advisor at the Permanent Delegation of Australia to UNESCO and Mr Angus Minns, Second Secretary at the Australian Embassy in Italy. Also present on behalf of ICCROM was Joseph King, Senior Director and Anna Zeichner, Liaison Officer.
During the meeting they discussed cultural heritage issues of particular importance to Australia, namely the linkages between cultural and natural heritage and how to protect and manage both, climate change and disaster risk reduction and indigenous heritage. We look forward to strengthening cooperation with Australia, a Member State since 1975.
