On 29 November ICCROM received a visit from Muhammad Juma, Chief of the Africa Unit of the UNESCO World Heritage Centre, and Dawson Munjeri of Zimbabwe. Mr Munjeri has been appointed by UNESCO to lead a Working Group that will develop a new strategy for African World Heritage, as part of the celebration of the 50th Anniversary of the 1972 Convention Concerning the Protection of the World Cultural and Natural Heritage. Representing ICCROM was the Director-General, Webber Ndoro, together with Valerie Magar, Manager of the Programmes Unit; Eugene Jo, Programme Manager of the World Heritage Leadership programme; and Rohit Jigyasu, Project Manager for Urban Heritage, Climate Change & Disaster Risk Management.
