This online course will explore how impact assessment and multidisciplinary cooperation can be useful in identifying solutions for both protecting World Heritage sites and supporting high-quality, appropriate development.

What started as a workshop in 2008 in Ercolano, the Bay of Naples, Italy, has come full circle 15 years later as a thought-provoking ICCROM publication. Heritage Management Practices: Voices from the Field, available for the first time in 2023, presents not only the workshop’s results but also heritage management experiences from 13 countries scattered across the world.

From 9-11 January 2023, ICCROM’s newest programme, Sustaining Digital Heritage (SDH), conducted its first workshop on digital storytelling – The Digital Story Circle: Telling and Preserving Heritage Stories in the Digital Realm. This three-day virtual workshop provided participants with tools and resources to digitally bring heritage communities’ and cultural bearers’ stories to life.

We have launched a digital Member State Contributions invoicing portal on the ICCROM website. Now, it’s quicker and easier than ever to contribute to ICCROM.

The Bibliographic Database of the Conservation Information Network (BCIN) – one of the most important tools for retrieving bibliographic information on cultural heritage conservation – is now available in French and Spanish.

In the fourth quarter of 2022, in addition to those interns and fellows who continued their work, we welcomed two new interns and one visiting researcher at ICCROM headquarters.

The First Aid to Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis Handbook and Toolkit is now available in Georgian. The translation was made possible thanks to long-standing ICCROM-FAR partners Blue Shield Georgia and First Aid to Cultural Heritage in Times of Crisis (FAC) course alumni.
