Heritage management and risk preparedness
As part of the LAC programme, ICCROM has released a report on the results of a survey we conducted to better understand the state of contemporary art collections across the region, which attracted responses from 114 organizations in 23 countries and territories.
We held an online congress on risk preparedness in November 2021, in partnership with Mexico's Coordinación Nacional de Conservación del Patrimonio Cultural – Instituto Nacional de Antropología e Historia, to explore the way in which Ibero-American countries are dealing with the risks affecting the region, through systems and mechanisms to reduce existing risks. In this context, a questionnaire has been designed, which aims to survey the risk management actions for cultural heritage that are currently underway in the Ibero-American region, with the objective of identifying the problems, needs and challenges in this area.
