A message to those currently affected by wildfires

ICCROM is deeply saddened by the loss of lives and extensive damage, including to natural and cultural heritage, resulting from the catastrophic wildfires currently ongoing in many parts of the world. Our Director-General and staff wish to extend their condolences to the people and governments of our Member States in all continents currently experiencing the devastating effects of wildfires.

ICCROM’s FAR programme joins forces with UNESCO and ICOMOS to develop capacities for heritage professionals in Ukraine

From 26 to 30 July 2023, UNESCO, in partnership with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, ICCROM and ICOMOS, will train 25 heritage professionals, including World Heritage site managers, from eight at-risk regions across Ukraine on emergency preparedness, risk reduction and first aid to cultural heritage. The project is supported by the UNESCO/Japan Funds-in-Trust.
