On 29 March, ICCROM-Sharjah Director Zaki Aslan happily received a delegation from the National Cultural Heritage Administration (NCHA) of China at the ICCROM Regional Office in Sharjah, the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
On 28 March 2023, ICCROM Director-General Webber Ndoro received HE Sayed Altayeb Ahmed, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Italy, at ICCROM headquarters for the presentation of his credentials.
We are celebrating the success of the first phase of the "Experts Program," a year-long collaboration between ICCROM-Sharjah and the Saudi Heritage Preservation Society (SHPS) and the Ministry of Culture (MoC) of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
On 20 March 2023, ICCROM convened its second annual informational meeting, attended by representatives of our Member States and permanent observers from all regions of the world.
We joined our long-standing partner, the ALIPH Foundation, and other cultural heritage preservation leaders at the 2023 ALIPH Forum in Abu Dhabi. ICCROM team members engaged in multiple fora across the two-day workshop, which focused on protecting and utilizing cultural heritage for peacebuilding at the nexus of conflict and climate change.
