Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, the ICCROM Regional Office for the Conservation of Cultural Heritage in the Arab Region (ICCROM-Sharjah), in cooperation with the National Commissions for UNESCO in the Arab Region, is now accepting entries to our regional competition on the “notion and importance of cultural heritage” for school students, entitled: “Our heritage brings us together”
This competition aims to raise awareness about the importance of preserving cultural heritage in the Arab region. Cultural heritage can be understood as a resource inherited from the past in all its forms and facets, whether tangible – such as buildings, monuments, books, archaeological sites, etc. – or intangible, such as practices, languages, oral traditions, digital art, animation, video and more.
Students from all over the Arab world can participate in this competition and submit their entries in four main categories: awareness film, photography, folkloric dance and drawing.
