The RE-ORG project continues to be very active and dynamic in Portugal after holding RE-ORG Lisboa in 2018. This year's workshop was held in Santarém on March 20, 21, and 27,28, where 35 museum professionals belonging to the group of 11 "Museums of Lezíria do Tejo" were trained to implement the RE-ORG method in their storage spaces.
From 6 to 17 March, Museo Provincial de Bellas Artes "Juan Ramón Vidal" and Museo Arqueológico y Antropológico "Casa Martínez" hosted the "RE-ORG CONO SUR Workshop for the safeguarding and dissemination of collections in deposit" in Corrientes, Argentina.
The second edition of the training course on the management and reorganization of museum repositories, RE-ORG 2023, has begun in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. The course is promoted and organized by the Emilia-Romagna Region-Cultural Heritage Sector in agreement with ICOM Italy, under the guidance of ICCROM, and with the support of Cuckoo House.
We at ICCROM were happy to see many new faces in the first quarter of 2023, with more people than ever working together in our offices in Rome, Italy, and Sharjah, United Arab Emirates.
On 20 March 2023, ICCROM convened its second annual informational meeting, attended by representatives of our Member States and permanent observers from all regions of the world.
Representatives of 11 Polish museum institutions are participating in a RE-ORG workshop at the National Museum in Poznań from 19-30 September 2022. The RE-ORG Poland project is funded by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland and implemented in cooperation with the National Institute for Museums and Public Collections (NIMOZ).

Museums in Southeast Asia have put theory into practice when it comes to managing their collections, using skills they learned at last year’s ICCROM course. The ten museums that participated in the CollAsia programme’s International Course on the Reorganization of Collections Storage in Museums of Southeast Asia were excited to implement the RE-ORG Method in their storage spaces.
After two years of being restricted to virtual events, in-person RE-ORG workshops are back. The resumption of in-person RE-ORG training kicked off in Slovenia in March 2022, organized by the International Council of Museums (ICOM) Slovenia.
Our CollAsia programme is using the RE-ORG Method to help the region’s museum professionals develop skills for better managing their collections, with a focus on optimizing storage space to prevent damage to objects. The team behind the initiative explains more.
