How do practising conservators access and use scientific information and services? How useful is it to them?
In September 2013 a survey of conservators was launched via the ICCROM website and social media pages, and further disseminated through IIC, ICOM-CC, E.C.C.O., AIC, VDR and ICON. Over the course of 20 days, more than 1000 professionals responded from 68 countries (750+ Europe and North America; 97 Latin America & the Caribbean; 75 Asia & the Pacific; 39 Arab States; 14 Africa).
The findings reveal the collective experience and viewpoint of a broad range of professionals working in the field of heritage conservation regarding their access to and use of scientific information and services within conservation practice.
