In this seminar Bart Ankersmit shares his considerable experience of observing and recording data and managing the indoor climate in museums and galleries in the Netherlands.
Based on climate risk assessment, rational decision making and taking into account boundary conditions such as sustainability, knowledge, budgets and specific local situations, Bart tries to find the optimum climate control strategies that help to approach the targets which museums strive to attain.

Bart Ankersmit is a  Conservation Scientist at the Cultural Heritage Agency of the Netherlands. he is co-author of the book Managing Indoor Climate Risks (Springer, 2017).
