ICCROM's 31st General Assembly will take place in Rome, on 30-31 October 2019. The General Assembly meets every two years and is attended by Member States, as well as by observers from non-Member States, intergovernmental organizations and other institutions that partner with ICCROM in the development of its programmes.
This year the General Assembly will welcome the 137th Member State of ICCROM, Costa Rica, and will celebrate 60 years of activities. The Main features will include the approval of the Programme of activities and budget of the organisation for the next two years and the appointment of the new ICCROM Council. On the 30th of October, Grellan Rourke will receive the ICCROM award, and on the 31st October, a thematic discussion will focus on the issue of "Decolonising heritage".
