From 2 to 3 November, representatives of our Member States will come together in Rome for the 33rd session of the ICCROM General Assembly.
Our esteemed Member States will elect the new Director-General, vote on the future programmes of the organization and help determine the strategic trajectory of ICCROM’s future.
This year’s thematic discussion is on the topic of “Cultural Heritage and Migrations." It will explore the ways migration changes concepts of heritage, and how more inclusive approaches to heritage can contribute to the well-being of diverse communities. Our speaker will be Gegê Leme Joseph from Brazil, who is an architect, urbanist and museologist. Her talk will draw on experience gained through her work with the International Coalition of Sites of Conscience where she oversees the Coalition’s activities in Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, and also leads the Migration Network.
All the Organization's official documents related to General Assembly are available on the Governing Bodies portal.
