3rd Edition of the World Heritage Site Managers' Forum
“Towards Sustainable Heritage Management”
World Heritage Site managers from across the globe are invited to participate in this year’s Forum, aimed at continuing to empower World Heritage Site Managers on the international stage. Participants from all natural, cultural and mixed World Heritage properties may apply. This year's forum will continue to be organized jointly with the IUCN-ICCROM World Heritage Leadership Programme, to address the capacity building needs of site managers worldwide.
WHSMF 2019 will cover the following themes:
- Principles and objectives of the World Heritage Convention;
- Methodologies and tools of monitoring of World Heritage;
- Integration of a sustainable development perspective into the processes of the World Heritage Convention;
- Management systems and management plans;
- Management Effectiveness Assessment for World Heritage properties;
- Climate change adaptation at heritage sites;
- World Heritage and sustainable tourism;
- Networking and information sharing.
