Within the framework of the cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (MOC) and ICCROM, we are conducting a comprehensive training on International Cultural Heritage Conventions and other cultural programmes, called the “Experts Program.”
The ICCROM-IUCN World Heritage Leadership Programme, the Norwegian Cultural Heritage Directorate, the Norwegian Environmental Agency and the Norwegian Ministry of Climate and Environment worked together to hold a national workshop to build Norwegian capacity on impact assessment in the context of World Heritage.
Museums in Southeast Asia have put theory into practice when it comes to managing their collections, using skills they learned at last year’s ICCROM course. The ten museums that participated in the CollAsia programme’s International Course on the Reorganization of Collections Storage in Museums of Southeast Asia were excited to implement the RE-ORG Method in their storage spaces.
Franco Adamo, lifelong restorer and ICCROM alumnus (1984), passed away on 12 May 2022, in the care of Adele Cecchini, his partner in life and work. His absence is a significant loss to the field of cultural heritage restoration. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Under the patronage of His Highness, ICCROM-Sharjah will hold a two-day event, from 1-2 June, to declare and celebrate the Award winners. The first day will be a final review of the shortlisted projects. The winners will be announced the following morning – at 9.00 on 2 June – at the House of Wisdom in Sharjah.
