Digital documentation is widely recognized as a tool for risk management of cultural heritage exposed to disasters caused by natural hazards such as earthquakes, floods and fires as well as environmental fluctuations and war damage. In recent years, there has also been an increase in the number of projects that utilize cultural heritage for touristic and regional development through the successful use of advanced technologies such as virtual reality (VR) and augmented reality (AR). In this webinar, we will discuss the challenges and opportunities in applying digital documentation for sustainable heritage conservation and management. Experts practicing such advance technologies for documentation of cultural heritage will join us as the panelists.
