The symposium is organised by George Town World Heritage Incorporated and will take place in George Town, Penang, Malaysia from 1 to 5 March 2024.
About the Symposium: 5 Days, 20 Sessions, 50 Speakers, 1 Shared Mission
We Are Site Managers International Symposium aims to promote international awareness and appreciation of Site Managers as front liners in the implementation of the 1972 World Heritage Convention, by identifying and defining the roles, commitments and contributions of Site Managers for the UNESCO World Heritage System. Through the symposium, we also hope to connect key stakeholders thus establishing a stronger working relationship among the World Heritage community.
By attending the Symposium, you will have the opportunity to engage with site management communities and professionals from 50 World Heritage Sites, who will discuss, debate and deliver their practical and sincere insights from the field.
