On the occasion of Russia Day on 12 June, a national holiday in the Russian Federation that commemorates the adoption of the Russian constitution in 1990, ICCROM wishes to congratulate an important Member State in ICCROM's worldwide community.
We also wish to draw attention to this year’s FIFA World Cup, which will be held from 14 to 28 June at venues located in eleven cities in the Russian Federation.
Rich in culture and heritage, the Russian Federation offers many opportunities for cultural visits for those football fans and their families who are travelling to Russia to attend the matches. The stadiums are located in some of the most beautiful and historically significant cities in the Russian Federation.
The official UNESCO World Heritage List includes 28 cultural and natural properties in Russia, of which 17 are cultural sites and 11 are natural sites. These properties are detailed the UNESCO World Heritage List for the Russian Federation.
