Description

The Guidance and Toolkit for Impact Assessment in a World Heritage Context (UNESCO, ICCROM, ICOMOS, IUCN) was published in 2022 and since then has been translated into more than 9 languages with several more translations underway. It has been received and adopted in legislations, policies and working methodologies of diverse countries, in reference to their existing management systems and legal frameworks on World Heritage and impact assessment.

This webinar aims to share and learn about the diverse modalities of how impact assessment is applied to World Heritage in different national contexts. It will support World Heritage actors – including site managers, national focal points, institutional representatives, territorial and municipal governments, and local communities – to share and learn about the diverse modalities of how impact assessment is applied to World Heritage in different national contexts.

This webinar will be implemented jointly by ICCROM, the University of Seoul, and the Institute of Seoul Studies, as part of the ICCROM Lecture Series, supported by Gyeongju City and the Korea Heritage Service.
