International Forum
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the adoption of the UNESCO Convention for the Protection of World Cultural and Natural Heritage (World Heritage Convention), the National Committee of ICOMOS Macedonia on November 17, 2022, organizes the Forum, “50 years of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention: International Standards in a National Context”. The event is being organized with financial support from the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of North Macedonia and will be held at Europe House – Skopje and virtually via the ZOOM platform.
These topics will be the focus of the Forum “50 years of the UNESCO World Heritage Convention: International Standards in a National Context”, which will be attended by professionals and international experts from competent state and international institutions/organizations, discussing the protection and management of World Heritage at a national and international level, as well as the implementation of this Convention in our country.
ICCROM will participate in session I “50 Years World Heritage: International perspectives and the way forward”, showcasing its role as an advisory body to UNESCO for this Convention and what are the tools offered to the State-Parties for the successful implementation of the Convention, with a special emphasis of your activities undertaken in the past few years in the Ohrid region.
