ICOMOS South Africa is launching a series of webinars with the support of the African World Heritage Fund to reflect on African Heritage management matters.
The aim is to discuss priorities in heritage, its role in the African Union's 2063 Agenda, and its economic value.
The first webinar of the series will feature two topics:
- 'Heritage management in Africa: a reflection', presented by Chilangwa Chaiwa, ICOMOS Vice President (Africa region).
- 'Potential for transformative integrative sustainable World Heritage management approaches: the case of the Republic of South Africa's Resistance and Liberation Heritage Programme', presented by Khwezi MpumIwana, co-founder of South Africa’s Liberation Heritage Initiative.
