Webinar 1: Sustainable Earthen Architecture in Changing Environment
- 27 SEPTEMBER 2022
- TIME: 13:00 (ROME), 15:00 (DUBAI)
Heritage represents the identities, meanings and experiences of individuals, groups and communities. People’s contribution to heritage is vital to a sustainable present future. It is necessary to view heritage as a crucial element of sustainable environmental, social and economic development at the local and global level. Earthen structures constitute a rich and vast source of communities’ heritage; earth remains an essential building material used to meet people’s housing needs. This webinar, the first in a series of three, will focus on understanding how earthen architecture can contribute to sustainable development as communities experience ongoing social, economic and environmental changes.
